Into the Woods Alone

Into the Woods Alone is the final installation piece exhibited at Turner Galleries Perth WA. It is the result of 18 months research and travel back to Greece and Czechoslovakia, where I undertook interviews and collected historical information centred around the Greek Civil War as a springboard for investigating the many meanings behind personal and collective identity in time of modern globalisation. During this research, I was made further aware of how modern societies need to create the ‘other’ to give meaning to self.
